The basic goal of your business is to interest customers in your services or product. So you ask yourself, What are some ways to increase traffic to your website. When it comes to internet marketing, your goal must be to figure out how to get new people, clients, leads or what ever you want to call them to your site or page, as well as create opportunities through curiosity eventually leading up to conversions or sales. To do this, you have to drive new customers to your site or blog page, where they can learn about your brand (you), product or service, or just maybe get their juices flowing to become a raving fan.
One of the most effective ways to drive more traffic to your website in the past few years has been through the use of social media! Everyone in business( any type) even grandmas out there has a Facebook page at the very least – even if it’s just to have a presence. The following are a few ways I have used to drive traffic for free that has helped me tremendously.
- Create Links or Videos – Not only will followers click on your links or watch your videos if they are intriguing and informative, but they can share and repost them on their own social media page, (come on we all do it) whether it’s Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ or any other social network. You-tube is also a great place to post links since they can easily be shared easily and be used in all kinds of different ways. Post links, videos for new promotions, new products or services, new content and more – but remember, make it intriguing, informative and sometimes funny.
- New content – Social media is also a great place to post new blog content. This not only generates traffic from established readers and followers to your website, but also results in increased shares and likes if the content is good, both of which are really important to driving someone that wants to dig even more, into what you have going on. Remember people are curious, and click of a mouse can do it.
- Promote contests, competitions, or surveys, – Everybody loves a good contest, competition or a survey. Try it out on a FB page and see how many answers you get. Allow anyone to enter your contest or competition as long as they sign up to your website. Add a link to your contest or competition page, you have to get creative when figuring out what you want……
